The app is to help users to analyze your Jira Cloud instances in different perspectives, such as project, user, status, workflow, licenses etc.
Let’s look at how to start with the app.
Access the app
Go into Jira, Click “Apps” on the top of tool bar in Jira. And you will see the app listed, Click the app.
How to use the app
When you follow the instruction above to get into the feature GUI, the main feature page will be displayed, please refer t the following screenshot.
View the projects statistics of the Jira instance
The project section will show tables with different matrix, as the following screenshot shows.
- It will use “Project not updated” as the measurable factor, for example the project is not updated over a month, or over three months, the project is not updated means all issues are not updated.
- Another table is statistics on issues in the Jira project, for example, the matric includes issue count is 0, which means it’s empty project, or issues count between 1-10 and so on…
- The Percentage column will show the ration of the entry in the total count.
- The “Export all * projects” under the Projects title above the project tables provides a feature to download the csv files with all information.
- The “Download” column gives the abilities to download the specified entries of the row.
View the users statistics of the Jira instance
The “Users” section helps users get more information about the users’ status, like how may active users and how many inactive users. There are features provided.
- “Export all * users” under the “Users” section, and the link can run export to all users in csv format.
- List all active user and inactive uses, atlassian users and apps, users and show the percentage of the items.
- Provide the “Download” feature to export the relevant entries in csv format.
View the label statistics of the Jira instance
You can check all labels information including the label name, the issues count with the label and the percentage.
Export
The export features is brilliant to help you get the information needed, more detailed information will be included, for example. like the project export will have project key, project id, project name, project type, project style, is_private, total issue count and last_updated meta data for you.
Note that the export can contains:
- Export all
This export all feature will appear under “Category” name, like “Projects”, “Users” etc. - Download specified data
This export will get the data you specified, for example, Download the project lists which has 0 issue count, which means get all empty project for me.
Install and uninstall the app
Install the app
Go to “Find new apps” in ATLASSIAN MARKETPLACE in JIRA, Enter the app name in the search bar, find out the and click “Install” and confirm.
Uninstall the app
The same easy like “Install the app”, just go to “Manage apps” and find the app, and click “Uninstall” and confirm.
Notes
Note there is no installation data of this app, so both installation and installation is free and clean to your jira instances.
